Obituary for Mearl R. Mollette
Mearl R. Mollette 68 of Pilgrim, KY passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Pilgrim, KY. He was born on March 12, 1950 in Tomahawk, KY; he was a son of the late Willie and Ruby Spence Mollette. Mearl is preceded in death by his brother, Ken Mollette and sister, Geraldine Burgess. Mearl was a U.S. Army Veteran as well as a coal miner and masonry worker and of the Baptist Faith.
Mearl is survived by his wife; Christy Bailey Mollette of Pilgrim, KY as well as a son, Christopher Robert Mollette of West Liberty, KY, and daughters, Shannon Grace(Cole Johnson) of Ft. Myers, Florida and Sara Beth Mollette Marcum (Dustin Marcum) of Inez, KY as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mearl is also survived by his siblings; Willie Jr. and Nimrod Mollette of Pilgrim, KY, Ollie Mollette of Piketon, OH, and Mickey Mollette of Beauty, KY, Faye Flowers of Paintsville, KY, and Doris York of Lancaster, OH as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Union United Baptist Church of Emily Creek with Terry Harmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Mollette Family Cemetery of Emily Creek, KY. Visitation will be after 4pm Monday, November 12, 2018 at the church. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Mullins Family Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be serving the family of Mearl R.
